With her emo vibes (not much has changed), Mari wasn’t exactly eager to chat at first, but that didn’t stop Ashley! Since then, they’ve shared countless memories, from high school volleyball to college adventures, navigating the many boyfriends that FINALLY led to Jeff. For the record, Ashley approved of Jeff from the very start....

Kristi and Mari have known each other since those China Palace days but bonded quickly over their shared love of metal music. Many nights of karaoke and music videos at Sandtrill with the gang later, here we are!

Mari and Taylor have been friends since middle school, and one time Mari saw Taylor’s butt. Taylor used to smother Mari with her boobs, so that pretty much made them besties by default.

Mari and Tiffany met while working at China Palace and bonded over their dark sense of humor. Through their countless movie nights, competitive tennis matches, and bottomless brunches; they’ve continued to support each other through the rollercoaster that is life.

Bianka and Mari bonded over their shared dry humor and sarcasm. They quickly became close friends after Mari was one of the first people Bianka met when moving to Austin in 2018. Since then, they’ve shared so many special life moments together, and Bianka is so grateful to stand by Mari’s side on such a special day.

Sarah is the groom’s sister. Mari and Sarah connected instantly over their mutual obsession with Pride & Prejudice, raccoons and basically any animal, and all things dry humor. Sarah cannot wait to have a seesterrrr in law!

Jeff and Jamie met at skate camp at 8 years old and have been best friends since reconnecting a few years after that. After completing the first half in 2019, it’s time for the other half of our childhood pact of being each others best man to be checked off. Since Jamie introduced Jeff to Texas in 2017 and made him want to make the move to Austin, he officially is taking credit for putting Jeff in a position to have met his beautiful bride to be!

I met Mari through friends and I met Jeff via Mari... Jeff and I were the only white guys at a party so naturally we started talking about podcasts and the rest is history.

Adan met Mari on a dark and stormy night through mutual friends, and honestly, the details of how their friendship developed are still a blur. A few years later, during sober January, Mari introduced him to Jeff while hanging out at a bar that served non-alcoholic drinks. She probably wanted Jeff to meet her coolest friend first. Jeff passed the initial vibe check and Adan gave his seal of approval. However, it wasn’t until they discovered their shared interest in complaining on community message boards, watching and rewatching reels, and discussing conspiracy theories like seasoned experts, they too became great friends. And the rest is history.

Jorge met Jeff through Mari at his disco-themed birthday party in February 2024. He’s enjoyed getting to know Jeff since then and is glad to call him a friend. As a groomsman, Jorge is honored to celebrate Jeff and Mari on their big day. P.S I’m the reason this wedding is happening!

Craig has made a great effort since meeting Jeff to have him included into their friend group. He is responsible for taking Jeff to his first UT football game and many tailgates, thus making him a diehard Longhorns fan. Craig and Jeff have bonded over Austin FC (matching jerseys btw). Craig could get most credit for Jeff attaining his Texan-ness. One of the best buds to snag a beer with!

Keaton grew up on the same town as Jeff and his family, (Danville, CA). Keaton is Jeff's sister's fiancé, therefore a very obvious addition to this all star groomsmen line up, as they are soon to be each other's brothers-in-law that he is a part of their special day... Jeff also needed more Californian representation to be present along with Jamie so he can have his slice of the Bay Area during him and Mari’s special day in his new home in Texas!
