It all started with two right swipes… thanks Bumble! That’s right, this match made in heaven was first made on a dating app. Braxton and Margot first met up at the one and only The Skellig in Dallas. They spent the next few weeks going on fun dates around Dallas and getting to know each other. 2 months later… COVID. Braxton and Margot spent all of lockdown together, but the worst year ever ended up bringing Braxton and Margot their soulmates.
Braxton tricked Margot into thinking they were going to Texas to visit Braxton’s sister, Bailey. He made an elaborate plan that they were going to meet at Braxton’s parents’ lake house for a reunion. Once Margot and Braxton arrived at the lake house, Braxton’s dad, Darryl, said he had to run out and would be right back, so Braxton’s stepmom, Wendy, asked if the couple could go outside to the boathouse to turn on some string lights before they all left for their dinner reservation. On the boathouse, Braxton tried to stall Margot by taking some pictures of her looking out into the water. After a couple seconds of silence, Margot turned around confused only to see Braxton down on one knee with a ring! It was an easy YES. Amid all the tears, Margot didn’t notice that Darryl had come back home but with a special gift, Margot’s parents had flown in to see the whole thing! They spend the night celebrating with both sets of parents and lots of champagne.
