The Presidio is the National Park where our wedding venue is located. It's 1,500-acre park on a former military post and today is a major outdoor recreation hub. It has forested areas, miles of trails, a golf course, and scenic overlooks. Other highlights include grassy Crissy Field with Golden Gate Bridge views, Civil War–era Fort Point and a walking trail called Lover's Lane.
Scenic, forested park featuring giant redwood trees and an easy, short walk through the forest. If you're lucky, you may see wild turkeys. You will probably need access to a car to drive to the park. It's about 30 minutes from downtown with no traffic.
North Beach, known for its Italian heritage, is one of Alex's favorite San Francisco neighborhoods. Pop into Schein & Schein to browse antique maps. Climb Telegraph Hill by way of the Filbert Steps to see the iconic Coit Tower, with WPA-era murals and panoramic views (beware, it is strenuous to walk).
