Jill and Arik are getting married!

Our story began almost 5 years ago October, in South Florida. Jill had moved down from NYC, and Arik had moved from Columbus Ohio. He had never dated anyone from New York , and she had never dated anyone from the Midwest. It was Jill's father who encouraged her to sign up for JDate, and thanks to him, she and Arik met. Arik chose the Hard Rock Casino, one of his favorite places, and the date lasted all night until the wee hours of the morning. Lots of flirting and lots of blackjack! The connection was instant, and the rest is history. He asked Jill to go fishing for their second date , and she must have really liked him to have said yes! He taught her how to bait a hook and cast a line. Both of us were "hooked" and we have been together from that day on. We have spent the past several years exploring great restaurants and all that South Florida has to offer. Some of our best nights have been laughing, obsessing over our fur babies, and planning epic surprises for one another. It’s become quite the competition! A few years ago, we purchased our first home together. Our blood, sweat, and tears went into renovating our beautiful home. We have created a beautiful life here with our bulldogs ..Rocco and Bruno , Bella and Pablo, our quaker parrots , and then of course the chickens which is very new to someone who spent all of her adult life in the Big City. Arik proposed during the pandemic. He was waiting for a time when he could get all of our friends and family together , but as we all know, 2020 didn’t allow that to happen. On the second night of Hannukah , in front of our parents , Arik proposed and made it a truly special moment. We bring out the best in each other, and our love continues to grow and flourish.
