On November 27th, 2020, the day after Thanksgiving, Margo and Joss went into NYC for the day. They had planned to get lunch at one of their favorite ramen place, walk around the West Village, get massages, and make their annual visit to the Christmas Store to get ornaments. While walking around, Joss suggested they go into their old apartment to check the mailbox. Given the large amount of mail addressed to them, Joss thought it would be a good idea to go up to their old apartment to have a look, assuming no one was living there. This was not something that was unusual as this apartment was a very special to Margo and Joss, this was there they first met and lived together. Joss tried to open the door and to his surprise, it was unlocked and no one was living there. He finally got Margo into the apartment as she was a little nervous considering they were trespassing. As they were looking around in a completely empty apartment, Joss said “think of all the memories we have had here, do you want to make one more?” as he gets down on one knee asking Margo to marry him. Joss pulled off an incredible coup, Margo had no idea! They left the apartment, sat on the stoop outside, enjoyed the moment, and then FaceTimed Joss' family. Later that night, they had plans to have dinner with Margo’s entire family. Margo and Joss walked in like nothing had happened, and eventually they noticed the ring and everyone was elated and that is when the celebration began!
