Pacific Beach/Birdrock
The Fishery- Delicious seafood and small plates. A favorite for John and Margo. Waterbar- Right in the action on the boardwalk. Ocean views and a lively environment. Latitude 32 Bar and Grill- Awesome neighborhood bar. Watch some football and have a beer on the patio. The West End- Great neighborhood dive bar with pool and darts! Bareback Grill- Delicious burgers and snacks with a New Zealand twist. La Perla- Classic California Burrito shack. Wheat and Water- Brick Oven pizzas and burgers. Great beer and cocktail list. Another favorite of Jon and Margo. Wayfarer Bakery- Fresh pastries made daily. Get there early to avoid the line!
La Jolla
El Pescador Fish Market- Great local seafood. La Jolla staple. Best fresh fish selection in town. Puesto Tacos- Delicious tacos and margaritas. Try the Puesto Perfect! Herringbone- Get there for the $1 Oyster Happy Hour (Tues. to Sun. 4 to 6). Brick & Bell Cafe- Cute cafe with brunch and coffee. Marine Street Beach- Local beach with great waves for bodysurfing. Windansea Beach- World famous, home to the iconic surf break.
Sunset Cliffs/Point Loma
Cabrillo National Monument- Home of the Old Point Loma Lighthouse. Great views of the bay. Hike down to the ocean and explore some tide pools! Little Lion Cafe- Sister owned Belgian Cafe. Great brunch, reservations needed! Point Loma Fish Shop- Delicious fish tacos and fresh seafood. Get the Fish Shop Shrimp! Ketch- Awesome food on Shelter Island. Located right on the marina. Bali Hai- San Diego staple. Great happy hour right on the water with a dock you can pull a boat up to. Get the Mai Tai, you’re limited two per person, you’ll figure out why! Buona Forchetta Liberty Station- Cesarina- Classic Italian food and cocktails. They will make you cannolis at your table!
Little Italy
Bencotto- Great Italian food, pasta made fresh daily! Mikkeller Brewery Taproom- One of Margo and Johns favorite brewery’s. Intimate setting with great beer. The Crack Shack- Fried chicken sandwiches. Great for larger parties. Ballast Point Brewery- One of San Diego’s most famous breweries. Named for the prominent navigation landmark. Huge tasting room with food as well. Nolita Hall- Great pizzas and cocktails in a open layout. Check out the awesome flight status board behind the bar!
Liberty Public Market
Showcasing a rustic environment with prepared foods, beer, wine, specialty cocktails, produce, fish, desserts and pastries, pastas, arts and crafts, a test kitchen, pop up dinners, and educational driven events.
Torrey Pines Gliderport/Blacks Beach
From the Gliderport you can hike the stairs down to Blacks Beach and get great views of Torrey Pines Golf Course! Also check out Scripps Beach and La Jolla Shores. If you want a more challenging hike down to Blacks Beach, try the Ho Chi Minh Trail, and be careful! Trailhead: 9883 La Jolla Farms Rd, La Jolla, CA 92037

Where culture, science, and nature collide, Balboa Park is home to more than 16 museums, multiple performing arts venues, lovely gardens, trails, and many other creative and recreational attractions, including the San Diego Zoo.

OB Noodle House- Two locations, great pho and other classic asian dishes with a great atmosphere and extensive beer list. Try the Peanut Butter Jameson Shot (trust us on this one)! The Joint Sushi and Tapas- Small plates with an extensive and delicious menu. Wonderland Ocean Pub- Great second floor bar right on the ocean. Watch the surfers and hippies while you have a beer!
