Mark and I met at a hair show in Wisconsin. I was competing in a L’ANZA sponsored event, like I had every year, and Mark was one of the judges. The after party is always across the street at this dive bar called Pizza Plus (such an Eau Claire name). Towards the end of the night, Mark slid up to the bar next to me and spit his "game". Drinks were had and the conversation went straight to life goals and aspirations. I wasn't looking for love but Mark had other ideas. His intention may not have been love..but here we are and we laugh about that night to this day.
Every year for Thanksgiving we have a couple traditions that stand strong. An evening dinner out with my mother Lynne, our dear friend Sarah, and her daughter Scarlet. Dinner is followed up by wine at Ma's accompanied by Scarlet’s sweet potato pie. One thing changed in 2022, our go-to spot was no longer open (Buca's, don't judge). We decided to wine and dine our day of thanks at an iconic steakhouse serving St. Paul & the greater metro for over 75 years (The Lexington). After an excellent dinner, (Possibly one too many martinis and a couple hiccups... we will fill you in later) I got down on my knee. On the car ride home I surprised Margo with a weekend getaway to New York the next morning to celebrate. We're so excited to celebrate this next chapter in our lives with you. See you in Palm Springs!
