Our favorite way to spend a Saturday morning in Madison is at the Dane County Farmers’ Market — we livd just a few blocks from the square, so you’ll often find us taking a lap with a fresh pastry, coffee in hand, and a bag full of local goodies.
Grab a beer (Spotted Cow required) and some classic Wisconsin cheese curds at the Memorial Union Terrace - a lakeside favorite for soaking up the sunshine and taking in the best views of Lake Mendota!
Channel your inner Paul and rent a bike from a nearby Madison BCycle station to cruise the scenic Lake Monona Bike Loop — an easy ride with gorgeous lake views, fresh air, and one of the best ways to see Madison like a local.
Stroll down State Street to browse local boutiques and shops - a few of our favorites to check out are Anthology, The Soap Opera, and Jazz Man! There are a variety of parking garages near state street.
The UW–Madison Arboretum is our little forest getaway — a favorite spot for easy hikes, peaceful trails, and soaking up the sights and sounds of nature without ever leaving Madison.
We love escaping to the Olbrich Botanical Gardens for another little nature retreat — wandering the vibrant gardens, exploring the tropical conservatory, as well as relaxing with a drink at the on-site beer garden!
