Our wedding reception will be taking place here at John James Audubon Center. This historic site was home to Mr. Audubon, whose work inspired the founding of the National Audubon Society, a nationally recognized organization dedicated to bird and wildlife conservation. There's some lovely trails around the property and a museum inside the visitor center. If you have time before/during the cocktail hour/reception, we encourage you to wander around this peaceful setting. (Please note the Museum will only be open during cocktail hour and closes at 4pm.) Our favorite place to sit, snack and people-watch. Surrounded by shops and restaurants in the heart of downtown Doylestown.

Located on the border of the downtown area, the Michener Museum is dedicated to the preservation of American art that gives visitors a glimpse into the historic life in the Delaware River Valley.
True to its name, Peace Valley Park really is quite peaceful. We live right down the street and visit regularly. The park has a 6 mile long walking path that wraps around Lake Galena. Picnic tables and charcoal grills are scattered along the park. Central Buck's nature gem!

A great place to spend an hour or two with a casual dining atmosphere, good food and drinks. Both the Vizzas and Weckerlys are Iron Hill regulars - ask them about their favorite menu items. Located about five minutes from the Vizza home.
If you're looking for a memorable way to spend the day, we highly recommend Longwood Gardens. About 40 minutes west from the Vizza home, this nationally recognized horticultural institution boasts grand greenhouses, acres of beautifully landscaped gardens, woodland and prairie trails, fountain gardens, a look inside the du Pont family estate, and a brand new conservatory. https://longwoodgardens.org/history
If you're willing to take a scenic 30 minute drive, this recommendation will delight you with a tranquil visit along the Delaware River. Lumberville General Store is one of our favorite places to get breakfast/lunch. Enjoy indoor seating in a rustic, historic house, or outdoor seating on a simple patio or yard with picnic tables. Work off the hearty meals by walking along the canal. You can walk from the General Store, past the Black Bass Hotel, and across the Lumberville-Raven Rock Bridge to short wooded trails at Bulls Island Recreation Area (NJ). If you're looking for a long lasting walk, there is also a "towpath trail" that follows the water. The nearby towpath access point is undergoing work, so we found the next nearest access point is Virginia Forrest Recreation Area - Delaware Canal State Park, about a five minute drive from Lumberville General Store.
