Questions

The Wedding Website of MARGAUX EDON and JOHAN GAVEL BAKKE
Question

What time should I arrive for the ceremony?

Answer

The religious ceremony will begin at 3:00 PM at the Basilica of Notre-Dame-de-la-Victoire. We recommend arriving 15 to 20 minutes before the ceremony starts.

Question

Is parking available?

Answer

Yes. For the ceremony in Saint-Raphaël, guests may use the Bonaparte Underground Car Park, which is a paid parking facility located close to the Basilica of Notre-Dame-de-la-Victoire. Street parking may also be available nearby, subject to availability. At Château Rasque, complimentary parking is available on the estate for all guests.

Question

How do I get from the ceremony venue to Château Rasque?

Answer

The drive from the Basilica to Château Rasque takes approximately 30 to 40 minutes. There will be around two hours between the end of the ceremony and the start of the cocktail reception, giving everyone plenty of time to travel comfortably to the venue. For guests staying nearby on the wedding night, this also provides an opportunity to check in to their accommodation, freshen up, and settle in before joining us for the celebrations at Château Rasque.

Question

Can I leave the car at Château Rasque ?

Answer

Yes, it is possible to leave the car over night and pick it up after the brunch.

Question

What is the recommended attire?

Answer

We kindly invite our guests to follow the wedding dress code: Gentlemen: a dark-colored suit or a smoking. Ladies: a floor-length gown or an equivalent formal outfit. Kindly note that we ask female guests to refrain from wearing white, red, or black. For Sunday's brunch, a more relaxed and casual outfit is perfectly suitable. If you plan to enjoy the pool, don't forget to bring your swimsuit and a towel.

Question

Will any part of the wedding take place outdoors?

Answer

The cocktail reception and Sunday brunch will be held in the gardens of Château Rasque

Question

Are children welcome?

Answer

While we hope many of our guests will enjoy a special weekend away, we completely understand that arranging childcare may not always be possible, especially for those travelling from abroad or from other regions. Children are therefore welcome to join us. A children's meal will be provided for guests aged 2 and over. For younger children, parents are kindly asked to make any necessary arrangements and remain responsible for their care throughout the event. Please note that the wedding schedule is the same for children as it is for adults, including the evening celebrations. If you plan to bring children, we would appreciate it if you could let us know when you RSVP.

Question

What if I have allergies or dietary restrictions?

Answer

Please let us know when you RSVP so that we can inform our caterer accordingly.

Question

What time does the celebration end?

Answer

The festivities will continue well into the night, with our DJ playing until 3:00 AM for those who would like to dance the night away with us.

Question

Are there accommodations nearby?

Answer

Yes. On the Hotels page of our website, you will find a selection of hotels, guesthouses, and other accommodations located near Château Rasque for the Saturday night stay. We would be grateful if you could let us know where you will be staying, as this may help us coordinate transportation arrangements for the evening, such as shuttle services or shared taxis for our guests.

Question

Can we use the swimming pool during the brunch?

Answer

Yes, the pool will be available. Feel free to bring your swimsuit and a towel.
