Nathan and Margaux first met in 2017 - moments before a show was about to begin. Lights flashed to signal them to their seats - but Nathan saw Margaux and knew he had to meet her. He rushed over and they quickly introduced themselves and exchanged information. The next day, Nathan sent Margaux a thoughtful list of destinations she must see while in town, and their conversation kept flowing - their mutual love of photography, music and art as frequent topics. They had something special. Margaux joked to herself that at 17 years old, she was way too young to find her husband! Nathan later told his friends that he thought he had met the one... The two kept in touch throughout the years and maintained a great friendship. Nathan impressed Margaux and her family when he took a Greyhound bus for 10 hours to attend her high school graduation party! Ironically, it wasn't until the world shut down and the borders between the countries closed that the two began to get closer. Nathan joined Margaux and some friends on weekly Zoom game nights. Both older now, the spark from all those years ago had never waned. They made it official as a couple on his first visit once the borders opened in July 2021! After so many fun trips while dating (and seemingly countless airport visits!) Nathan proposed to Margaux on May 20th 2023 in Victoria, British Columbia, on the beaches of the Juan de Fuca hiking trail. They're so excited for friends and family from both sides of the border to celebrate their love with them this winter!
