Lita met John for the first time in fourth grade when he came to her elementary school to give a demonstration with his dog Duke. The next several years, Lita would see John at weekend masses… as altar servers. This was unbeknownst to John, who still claims he knew of her, but did not officially know Lita. In John’s Senior year of high school, Lita was a Freshman with a case of “school girl crush”. She moved overseas for the remainder of high school and came back to Ohio to begin college. During the Summer of 2022, one faithful Sunday after mass, the two and their families chose the same local restaurant for breakfast- shout out to Dee's. From there, they reconnected through social media and had been kindled spirits. From hanging out with friends, movie dates, adventures with family, and living together, John and Lita have become inseparable. It is said that to this day, a drawing on a wall Lita wrote in her old art classroom, can still be seen; drawn inside of a heart, “J+L”.
