Our wedding is taking place on a golf course, and with that we have ample space to utilize. Our ceremony will be open air (weather permitting) with chairs for seating, hightop tables for standing along the perimeter and plenty of space to spread out and stand where you feel most comfortable. Our reception will be under a 3,200 sq ft tent that would allow for up to 533 "socially distanced safe zones". Our seating arrangements will be carefully thought through, and we'll try our best to keep households and families together. Dinner will either be plated individually or the buffet will be managed by designated golf course staff to limit the spread of germs (aka, they'll dish our plates and guests will not). We will have three bar stations throughout the ceremony and cocktail hour, and then it'll go down to two as the night carries on. All glassware is single use. Service staff will be following the current requirements as mandated by the state or county at the time of the event.
Of course, we will have this available for our guests. There are also restrooms nearby in the club house for hand washing.
We have secured two buses that accommodate many more than we're expecting for the wedding. There will be two to shuttle guests over ahead of the ceremony and then one that will start shuttling guests back to Sugar Lake at 10 pm, 11 pm and 12 am. If you prefer to drive yourself, there is plenty of parking at Pokegama Golf Course. And there are three docks if you wish to arrive by boat.
Sugar Lake Lodge has been very proactive in adapting its services to fit guests' needs. You can find more detail about their safety measures on their website: https://sugarlakelodge.com/covid-19/
