Welcome Party: Upscale Country Western - bring your hat, boots, and fashion sense! The theme is Cowboy-Chic. We would love it if guests would dress in fun colors with lots of PINK! Ceremony and Reception: Dress code is Black Tie optional. Men should wear either a tuxedo or a sharp suit. Women should wear a floor or midi length dress or gown. In lieu of the typical darker black-tie color code, please keep your looks fashionable and fun! Additionally, keep in mind the Hall of Philosophy, where the ceremony will take place, is outdoors but covered with a roof. It will be fall in New York so the temperature may border on chilly (especially for all of our southern friends!) Bring a fashionable coat, wrap, or other to stay warm! All Weekend: Bring your comfy blue jeans and big sweaters. The Athenaeum has a grand porch to sit on. Chautauqua Institution has beautiful streets to stroll. And we all have a cozy weekend to spend with each other!
Staying inside the grounds of Chautauqua Institution would be best for the weekend but if you are unable to join us at the Athenaeum, here are some other options nearby: Chautauqua Harbor Hotel Celeron, NY www.thechautauquaharborhotel.com
A Continental Breakfast is included in your room price! For other meals not provided by the wedding events, here are some great options: Heirloom Restaurant and Lobby Lounge at the Athenaeum Hotel https://www.chq.org/discover/eat-drink-shop/heirloom-restaurant/
Of course not! Zack and I love our families and we love our friends, and we have a good feeling everyone will love each other so we wanted to make the wedding weekend as intimate as possible. Our hope is that each and every one of you can spend the full weekend with us, but completely understand if that is not possible. Please feel free to spend as much or as little time with us this weekend, but make sure to enjoy yourself! Chautauqua Institution has been a gathering place for generations of families and friends to sit in each others company and enjoy the natural beauty of Western New York. Margaret's entire family (Dawsons and Gregorys) hails from Chautauqua county, the village of Bemus Point, New York, just across the lake!
