Answer

You may arrive at the ceremony location, St. Joseph's on Capitol Hill, at any time! However, we ask that you be seated no later than ten minutes prior to the ceremony, by 3:50 p.m.

Question

Is there parking for the ceremony or reception?

Answer

Parking at St. Joseph's is available in the lot next to the rectory and in the U.S. Senate parking lot across the street from the church. Street parking is unlimited on the weekends and/or public parking is available two blocks away at Union Station. As for Mount Vernon, there is plenty of visible parking near the entrance of the Mount Vernon Inn.

Question

What time should I arrive at the reception?

Answer

Our reception location, the Mount Vernon Inn, is about thirty minutes away from St. Joseph's on Capitol Hill. The reception begins at 6:00 p.m., so it's up to you on how early you decide to arrive!

Question

Can I bring a date?

Answer

Please don't bring a date unless they were specifically mentioned by name or referred to as "Guest" on your invitation! We already have a big party planned, so we appreciate your understanding.

Question

I have a food allergy, can I make a special request?

Answer

Yes, please do! You may indicate your allergy when prompted under the RSVP tab of this website, or you may message the bride or groom directly about it. Overall, the prepared menu was carefully picked with our guests' allergies and intolerances in mind.

Question

Are there any other events that I should know about around the wedding?

Answer

Please keep in mind that it will be the weekend of a federal holiday, Independence Day! Traffic may be affected in the area by various other events.
