The dress code for the welcome party is Western Chic. We are going for a dressy cowboy vibe, where flowy dresses, sharp jeans, or slacks would all be great options. Cowboy boots, hats, bolo ties, belt buckles, and turquoise jewelry are encouraged!
Dallas Arboretum & Botanical Garden 8525 Garland Road Dallas, TX 75218 Gate 2 The Arboretum has multiple entrances. Be sure to use Gate 2 for both parking and ride share. Handicapped parking is available.
Please plan on arriving at 5:00 pm. The gardens are lovely and large, and you will need time to park and walk to the ceremony area. The ceremony will begin promptly at 5:30 pm. Please do not be late!
The dress code for the wedding is Formal Attire. We suggest a suit and tie for men and a long dress that is comfortable outdoors for women. Since both the ceremony and reception will take place outside on grass and turf lawns, please keep in mind that floor-length dresses or stiletto heels might be difficult for walking. Weather in October is typically lovely, with warm days and cool nights. There will likely be a breeze as the sunsets, so ladies may appreciate a wrap.
We are planning for our wedding festivities to take place outdoors throughout the gardens. Please be prepared to walk across grassy areas which may be uneven in places. Grass could be damp. Comfortable shoes/block heels are recommended. Restroom facilities can be found in two locations: Inside the Camp House by the front door and outside of the Camp House, on the west side of the building. In case of rain, the festivities will go on as planned, moving under a tent at the back of the Camp House. Bring an umbrella and a sense of humor!
