One of our first hikes together. Moderate - 8 miles, 1,755 ft elevation gain. 25 minute drive from Vail Village. A local secret, this trail is great to go stroll through even if you're wanting to get away for an hour or two. No need to get to the top for an amazing view, it's gorgeous the whole way.
Layla's favorite hike. Hard - 9 miles, 2,260 ft elevation gain. 50 minute drive from Vail Village. Great if you're coming in a day or two early to explore.
A popular trail just 7 minutes from Vail Village. A 4 mile hike, 1,300 ft climb to the falls, but if you keep going you'll hit Booth Lake at mile 8. There's no parking at the trailhead, so hop on the local shuttle to get there.
One of our favorite local lakes to spend the day at. Go for a picnic on one of the greens, play a game of volleyball in their sand court, or rent a stand up paddle board and go for a cruise on the water - any way you go, you can't go wrong!
THE place to go in Vail for a killer cocktail.
If you're a whiskey lover, make sure to stop by the 10th Mountain Tasting Room right in the heart of Vail Village.
