Burke and Margaret met once before moving in together senior year of college, and became instantly inseparable! Burke has been the biggest cheerleader for Margaret and Chris, ever since. Burke has always been the kind of friend to show up when you need her, no matter how far away she is.

Despite her sarcastic humor, Kiara is one of the sweetest people you will meet. Kiara met Margaret through Jess Loy, and they grew their friendship over the years (thanks to Lady Gaga). Kiara lived with Margaret and Chris in 2018, and went from the third wheel to their double date buddy with Ryan! Kiara is a loyal and devoted friend to Margaret and Chris alike.

Jess and Margaret met their first week of high school, when Jess walked up to Margaret and said "We have a lot of classes together, we should be friends". She has been a devoted friend, and they have been attached at the hip ever since! Jess and Margaret have grown together over the last 11 years, and remained close throughout. Jess actually met Chris before Margaret, at church in elementary school!
Katie Bennett

Katie was Margaret's roommate at Indiana University who she met through the random match program. The Hensley family jokes she was sent from our grandmother, and was an instant friend from the start. Katie has been a true friend, despite not living in the same state since sophomore year of college!
Marisa Cullnan

Margaret and Marisa (right in picture) met through their college actor boyfriends at University of Illinois, known then unofficially as the 'girlfriend's club'. They quickly bonded, and have remained close since through many Margie's dates and porch swing conversations.

Margaret met Katie (right in picture), Chris' younger sister, when Katie was 9! Margaret used to sneak Katie and her friends into the pool when she was a lifeguard. Margaret has had the pleasure of getting to watch Katie grow into an incredible young woman, and has become close with her in the process.

Margaret met Elizabeth (middle in picture), Chris' older sister, when Margaret was 15! Elizabeth has been a supportive presence in both Margaret and Chris' lives. Through many gym dates, bubble tea runs and car rides, Margaret and Elizabeth have gotten close over the years.
Harry Belden
Best Man
Chris and Harry met at the University of Illinois Freshman Orientation. Harry came off as a goofy, ball of energy, which is exactly who he is to this day. At first, Chris didn’t think they would be friends. Harry is kind of a nerd. He loves superheroes, and can quote all of “The Dark Knight”. Chris quickly learned that they had a ton in common, and Chris is grateful to have someone who is full of laughter and joy in his life. One moment that helped solidify the relationship was sharing their mutual disdain for one of their professors freshman year. Although they were quite miserable, they were constantly making each other laugh and found delight in each other's company. After college, this friendship continued to grow stronger, and Chris is honored to have Harry as his Best Man.

Kevin is an amazing friend. Chris first thought of Kevin as the guy with the rainbow backpack. They didn’t know each other well until Chris’ Junior year of college, when they lived together in a house they called, “The Blue Haven”. Fun fact: the house was a historical landmark, Abraham Lincoln stayed in that house! Anytime something strange happened in the house, all the housemates would look up and yell, “Abe!”They quickly formed a bond. Since then, Kevin has been a person Chris could talk to about anything. Full of empathy and understanding, Chris is always inspired by Kevin!
Simon Gebremedhin

Chris took Simon under his wing his senior year of High School. Chris was a senior at the time, Simon a sophomore. They met at a theatre picnic, and bonded over deciding whether they should continue playing the sport they loved (Chris, volleyball, and Simon, basketball) or do theatre. Simon decided he’d audition for the theatre season that year. Simon and Chris were both cast in “Love’s Labour’s Lost”, which was the beginning of their friendship. For three summers, Chris and Simon also worked together at a theatre camp! Simon continues to be one of Chris’ closest friends.
Athanasia Giannetos

Chris and Athanasia have been friends for 12 years! Chris first met Athanasia freshman year of High School, while she was in a gold, full body morph suit, acting in the show “Warp!”, a sci-fi play. Athanasia has always been someone Chris looked up to, she is focused, strong, passionate. Chris also became close with Athanasia’s family! Not only did they go to high school together, but they both studied theatre at the University of Illinois. It was such a relief having a friendly face and supporter throughout college. She has always been, and continues to be, a positive influence in Chris’ life.
Aidan Schliesmann

Aidan is one of Chris’ best friends from college. Junior year of college, they lived together in the Blue Haven (with Kevin). They bickered quite a lot that year. However, senior year and post-college helped to cement a strong relationship, full of deep talks at Pub 626 or darts at Murphy’s Pub. Aidan can always make Chris laugh. He even helped Margaret & Chris move into their first apartment! Chris had rented a massive truck, in which he hit a car while trying to park. Chris was freaking out, but Aidan couldn’t help but laugh, making light of the situation. That is Aidan to a tee. “It’ll be fine”- Aidan.
Aryamehr Mohseni

Aryamehr and Chris met their sophomore year of college. When Aryamehr transferred to the U of I theatre program, Chris was intimidated by another tall, Middle Eastern actor coming onto the U of I scene, especially since Aryamehr can grow a beard… However, they quickly bonded, singing, “Nour El Ein”, at the theatre parties. With multiple light-saber fights and free drinks at Joe’s Brewery, they became very close. After Chris’ heart-surgery in the winter of 2017, Aryamehr drove an hour to drop off some incredible home-made chicken noodle soup and spend 15 minutes with Chris. Aryamehr is a stand-up guy and a great friend.
Tamara Winston

Tamara is a best friend of Margaret and Chris from high school, and has brought her wonderful fiancé Julian into their lives! Tamara played with Chris and Margaret's choir in high school, the director kept saying she did not need to practice with them- Tamara is that good. The first time Lizanne heard her play, she cried! Tamara is a Paraguayan/American oboist TAMARA WINSTON is a highly sought after chamber and orchestral musician. Julian Müller

Margaret and Chris met Julian through his now fiancé, Tamara. Julian has a quiet strength and confidence, he is such a wonderful partner for Tamara! In addition to being a friend, Julian is an exceptionally skilled cellist. American-German cellist, Julian Müller performs frequently as soloist, chamber musician and orchestral player in the United States and Europe. Hailed as “...haunting and mesmerizing...” by the USA Today, Julian appeared as soloist with the Louisville Orchestra, performing the world premiere of the ballet How They Fade, composed by him and art-pop band, YASSOU, on a commission from the Louisville Ballet Company. Matt is Margaret's cousin, and has known Chris for almost 8 years now as well! Matt has grown up alongside Margaret and Cate, and been a wonderful friend over the years.
