A friend of mine was dating a friend of his. We were a year older, she said she didn't want to go to his prom alone. She asked if I would go if she found me a date. I said yes. Charlie and I met briefly in my driveway to make plans but our first date was a blind date to his senior prom! We danced and laughed all night, at the end he asked, "so when can I see you again?"

On our 5 year anniversary Charlie and I went to my favorite restaurant and then to get dessert. On the way home he suggested we drive out to the lake. This is something we did many times early in dating. He took me on the same road we were on for a second date. All the sudden he pulled over. He walked around the truck to the passenger side and asked me to spend the rest of my life with him. I of course said YES!
