Deer Park Town Center
Deer Park Town Center is a pedestrian friendly shopping destination offering a collection of more than 60 stores and restaurants plus a movie theater. It is about a half mile walk from the Hampton Inn Deer Park hotel.
Deer Park Town Center Food Truck Series
There will be a food truck festival on Saturday, Oct 5 at Deer Park Town Center from 11:30 am - 2:30 pm. Food trucks will be located in the road in front of Pottery Barn & Kendra Scott to the traffic circle, about a half mile walk from the Hampton Inn Deer Park hotel. Free admission, free parking, dog-friendly & live DJ! October's food truck lineup is not yet published, but previous festival food trucks were: ~Tievoli Pizza Truck (wood fired pizza) ~Poupee Puf (cotton candy) ~EJ Pierogi (Polish cuisine) ~Mamalicious (jerk & curry cuisine) ~Taco Shop on Wheels (Mexican cuisine)
Walking Trails
There are walking trails directly behind the Hampton Inn Deer Park hotel that take you around a little pond and other wetlands. You can also follow the trail behind the hotel to walk to the Deer Park Town Center.
Deer Grove Forest Preserve
Deer Grove Forest Preserve is 1.5 miles from the Hampton Inn Deer Park hotel. Deer Grove, the county’s first forest preserve, features nearly 2,000 acres of diverse habitat such as rolling upland forest, wooded ravines, wetlands and prairie. Following years of dedicated restoration work, two areas within Deer Grove are recognized by the Illinois Nature Preserves Commission as some of the highest quality natural areas in the state.
