Together, they built a life that felt like home from day one. The Proposal In 2024, Carter brought Maressa to his favorite place: the towering dunes of Jockey's Ridge in the Outer Banks. With the help of Lacey and Lisa, he pulled off the ultimate surprise. It took Maressa’s brain a moment to "buffer," but her answer was a resounding "Yes!"
