Keith and Marianne first met all the way back in sixth grade band in 2005. Keith was a slightly rambunctious (as most boys his age are) clarinet player while Marianne was a more reserved flute player. Their friendship started when Keith called Marianne one day to ask about her grades. Being slightly puzzled, she asked how he knew her scores, to which he informed her that he had gotten on to the school's "secure" grade viewing system for parents and was currently looking at her report cards ~sigh~. Little did she know this was just the first of many adventures to come! They grew closer through high school, often taking long drives around Brighton and surrounding cities during their Junior and Senior years (it also didn't hurt that Keith often brought Marianne donuts in the morning). Things changed when Keith decided to attend University of Nebraska, Lincoln to pursue his degree in mathematics, while Marianne stayed in Michigan to attend Wayne State University to get a degree in Biology. They talked on the phone almost every day and over time an undeniable bond grew between them. After Keith had spent two years in Nebraska, they decided to start dating... That's when things changed forever! Keith and Marianne have been together since 2013 and every moment has been one they cherish. After they finished their degrees, Keith moved home to Michigan, but this time it was Marianne's turn to move. Marianne had been admitted to the PULSe Ph.D. program at Purdue University in Indiana, and after only a few months of being in the same state, was packing to move. Keith and Marianne have overcome so many challenges, but the distance has not only grown their appreciation for each other, but greatly strengthened their relationship. They are so excited to finally be married, it has been a day long-anticipated. Their love for each other is so deep and they are so thankful to be surrounded by friends and family to celebrate their special day!
