What is the dress code?

Answer

The dress code is Black Tie Optional: Acceptable men's attire: Tuxedo; suit; shirt & tie with a jacket. Unacceptable men's attire: Jeans, t-shirts, athletic wear, khakis, polo shirts. Acceptable women's attire: Evening gown, cocktail dress, cocktail jumpsuit. Unacceptable women's attire: Jeans, athletic attire, casual dresses, shorts, t-shirts.

Can I bring my kids?

The wedding and reception are both child-free events. We will have some contact information for local sitters as we near the event date.

Where can I stay?

Answer

We have a limited number of rooms reserved at The Lucerne Inn. There are multiple hotel options in Ellsworth and Bangor, which are both a 20 minute drive from the reception location.

What time should we arrive at the church for the wedding ceremony?

Please plan to arrive 15 to 20 minutes early.

Is it at St John's Episcopal or St. John's Catholic Church?

Answer

We are being married in St. John's EPISCOPAL Church. If the church is made out of red brick, and not granite stone, you are in the WRONG place.

Where do I park at St. John's Episcopal Church?

Answer

There is street parking on French St. and nearby streets. The Family Foot and Ankle Center at 205 French St is also available for parking.

When does the party start? And will there be a bar?

Answer

The reception begins at 5pm at The Lucerne Inn. There will be a cash bar and appetizers to start things off. We will have plated meal service, wedding festivities, and dancing, all concluding at 10pm. Bar is CASH ONLY. Credit Cards are not accepted. (ATM is available on site)
