Nika and Marena met on April 17th 1996, back when she was still filling diapers. Now, the only thing they fill together is their hearts. Also their stomachs because ooh boy do they eat good. Having someone else who shares a love of cheese and crackers is special, but having someone who shares a need for lactaid is priceless. She is the best sister Marena has ever had and there’s no one else Marena respects more.

Ben is the best boy. Ben and Alex have been best buddies for as long as they can remember. The late nights they’ve spent together watching Shrek or playing video games or watching Shrek or baking cookies or watching Shrek have been some of the best nights of their lives.

This is Nicole, and I don’t know if you guys can tell but she is the cutest zookeeper there ever was! Marena and Nicole became best friends when they realized their intense love for Harry Potter (and each other). At that point in time they held hands while standing in a cement parking lot and Marena claimed Nicole as her bestie.

Michael is a good boy. Michael and Alex have a special relationship. On cold rainy nights they spent their time cuddling under the covers whispering sweet nothings. Today Michael works in NYC, just a short ride away from the love of his life (Alex).

Oh hey there! The stunning Madigan Koneval made her way into Marena’s heart back at Iowa State. When Madigan isn’t eating cold mac and cheese you can find her taking longs naps on the beach and studying wayyyy to hard. Madigan has the kindest soul and the biggest brain.

Jacob is a good boy. Being both tall and old, Alex has always seen Jacob as a leader and good friend. While Alex doesn’t share Jacob’s affinity for shooting hoops or throwing balls, their love for Smash and Mario Kart made them a perfect fit.

Talia happens to be the luckiest girl in the world because she’s going to be Marena’s sister! This beautiful, talented, brilliant, powerful musk ox spent many of her nights making herself potato chips and then allowing Marena to eat most of them. What a generous soul.

Max is a good boy. A fellow Pokémon Master, Alex and Max have spent many years forming a strong friendship. Thespians through and through, they sang and danced and had a gaaaaaaay old time.

It all started in the early years of life when Bridget and Marena made a close bond in preschool – sadly, their personalities haven’t changed, and they haven’t matured a bit. All Marena can say is, thank god she has this wonderful and gorgeous specimen in her life cause without Bridget, Marena wouldn’t remember a thing.

Perry is a good boy. From the very first day of Freshman year Perry and Alex were the best of friends. Frozen vodka gummy bears, chocolate chip cookies, and a drink that can only be described as “Ramenescent” are just a few of the creations they made that year. And they were roommates...

Another lucky person... Mickey always dreamed about being Marena’s brother and lucky for him on November 25th, 2017 that dream became a reality and we had a big party to celebrate. Some of Marena and Mickey’s greatest “memories” come from a wild night out full of fishbowls, donkeys, and 3am cheeseburgers. Needless to say, when they get together good decisions are made.

Reagan is a good boy. Alex had thought he had found his closest friends by his Junior year of college, but Reagan stormed into his life and showed him just how wrong he was. Some nights were spent staying up late playing Mario Kart, baking brownies, or watching Avatar, while others led to frivolity and beer games. Alex, Jacob, and Michael’s couch was always a second bed if Reagan needed it.
