Minneapolis Sculpture Garden
This free-to-visit park features more than 60 sculptures, including the iconic "Spoonbridge and Cherry". (Located northwest of the pond, near the parking lot.) Our favorite: "After Dream", a tree hung with 47 wind chimes.
Minneapolis Institute of Art
One of the largest art museums in the country, featuring works from around the world and throughout history. General admission is free. Maren's favorite: "Jade Mountain Illustrating the Gathering of Scholars at the Lanting Pavilion", 1790. (Located in gallery G210.) Ronald's Favorite: "Veiled Lady", c. 1860. (Located in gallery G357.)
Mill City Museum
Recently featured in USA Today as one of the Top 10 History Museums in the country.
Guthrie Theater
See a show, or walk out onto the Endless Bridge for a view over the river.
Mill City Farmers Market
Located between the Mill City Museum and the Guthrie Theater. Saturday, 8am-1pm.
Uncle Hugo's Science Fiction Bookstore / Uncle Edgar's Mystery Bookstore
One of our favorite bookstores, the Uncles reopened two years ago in a new location after burning down in 2020. A great place for new and used books.
