Better Late Than Never!

Jaime and Marely’s love story began at Glades Day School. In their small school, they would often see each other around campus, and after being introduced by a mutual friend, a year-long friendship blossomed. As their feelings inevitably grew, Marely prayed to God, “If it’s meant to be, he will ask me out.” One day, Jaime invited her to a nightclub featuring a Spanish band, and that night, he asked her to be his girlfriend. From that moment on, they were inseparable. After 12 eventful years together, Jaime planned the proposal they had both been waiting for. Disguised as Marely’s sister’s birthday celebration, the evening seemed ordinary to Marely, who had no idea that the love of her life was about to ask her to spend forever by his side. A pathway illuminated with blue lights led to a pier in Miami, Florida, where Jaime stood waiting. As Usher’s “There Goes My Baby” played in the background, Marely walked toward him through tears of joy. Looking into her eyes, he said, “This is our time, the moment we’ve been waiting for…” Overwhelmed with excitement, she shouted, “Finally!” Jaime then got down on one knee, held up a beautiful ring, and asked her to be with him forever. Together, Jaime and Marely share a love for music, their fur babies, trying new foods, and cozy nights with a candle burning. Jaime enjoys writing his own songs and lyrics, while Marely, a veterinary assistant with a heart for animals, loves crafting and caring for every creature she meets. Above all, they cherish their greatest joy, their beautiful baby girl, Jaynie.
