Our story had a rather boring start -we met through extracurricular activities in finance and accounting while attending Central Michigan University (which is about as thrilling as it sounds). Before long, we found ourselves hanging out with mutual friends, visiting the same bars, and attending Mass together. Since then, we've road tripped, camped, and adventured our way through Michigan’s Upper Peninsula, Tennessee, and West Virginia. We have also spent summers and winters in Alaska visiting family and exploring the outdoors until our hearts and legs were more than content. Our shared love for travel has taken us as far as a family trip to Scotland, which involved castles, whiskey, and hairy coos. When we're not traveling, you can find us with our friends and family, playing pickleball and staying active, as well as watching seasonal sports—much to Jake’s delight and Marelie's chagrin. As we prepare for our marriage, we're filled with excitement for all the new adventures, hobbies, and memories ahead. If the past is any indication, the future is going to be one beautiful, joy-filled ride.
