Getting to the Farm

We're hoping that you'll make a roadtrip out of this weekend, and there are some good options whether you fly in Denver (mountains) or SLC (desert). Palisade is close to in between Denver International Airport and Salt Lake City International Airport (4-5 hours). You can also fly directly into the Grand Junction Regional Airport. With any of the options, you should count on renting a car, since public transportation and Uber/Lyft are pretty sparse in GJ. You might consider pooling with another guest for a car reservation.

Flight

Denver International Airport (4 hrs to Palisade)

If you fly into Denver, you'll be renting a car and driving over the Continental Divide! Stops on the way include Denver, Vail and the hot springs in Glenwood.

Flight

Salt Lake City Airport (4hr20 to Palisade)

Flying into Salt Lake City gives you a beautiful roadtrip through the desert. If you're thinking about including a trip to Moab/Arches National Park, fly into SLC.

Flight

Grand Junction Regional Airport (20 mins to Palisade)

The easiest travel option would be to fly directly into Grand Junction -- the farm is about 20 mins west of the airtport.

Hotel

Wine Country Inn

777 Grande River Drive
Palisade, CO 81526
 (970) 464-5777

Wine Country Inn is likely where most guests will be staying. It's about 10 mins from the farm.

Hotel

Spoke and Vine Motel

424 West 8th Street
Palisade, CO 81526
 (970) 464-2211

Here's a new option to stay in Palisade that looks fresh and is a convenient location. It's comparable to the cost of the Wine Country Inn.

Hotel

Palisade Wine Valley Inn

588 West 1st Street
Palisade, CO 81526
 (970) 464-1498

This is a sweet B&B in a historic house in Palisade. Marcy babysat here in middle school and the house is one of the reasons she appreciates old buildings.

Camping at Island Acres

Adjust your expectations! Island Acres sounds idyllic and it does have shade and a lake to swim in (I think) but it is a state campground off of I-70. It's about 5 miles from the farm. Email Mark and Marcy if you are hoping to camp over the weekend.
