Goat Hill
25-acre preserve with an easy walking trail known for elevated views of the surrounding countryside and distant mountain ranges.
Mount Major
35 minutes from Acton, ME - One of the most popular mountain hikes in the Lakes Region. About 3.5–4 miles round trip with over 1,000 feet of elevation gain. Rocky sections and incredible views over Lake Winnipesaukee.
McKenzie's Farm
18 minutes from Acton, ME - Seasonal farm stand with fresh produce, baked goods, cider donuts, and pick-your-own fruit depending on the season.
Palace Diner
This is an amazing breakfast spot to stop at on the way home! The Palace Diner is a historic, 15-seat restaurant in Biddeford, Maine. Operating out of a vintage 1927 Pollard train car, it is Maine's oldest continuously running diner. They serve elevated diner classics, blending nostalgic charm with scratch-made comfort food like buttermilk fried chicken sandwiches, towering tuna melts, and hearty breakfasts. We tried the Tuna Melt, French Toast, and Omelette with their famous Palace Potatoes. We did not get there early enough to try their amazing pancakes, but we need to go back! Don't just take our word for it - It has been featured on many shows like Somebody Feed Phil!
Bev’s Cafe and Market
If the line is too long at Palace Diner (Due to limited seats) .... This is another amazing breakfast/ lunch spot! We highly recommend it for a coffee, pastry, or a yummy sandwich!
