Here are a few places in the area that you may want to visit while you are here:

Shiloh Battlefield is the main unit of Shiloh National Military Park, located in Shiloh, TN. It is approximately 11.3 miles (15-minute drive) from Pickwick Landing SP. Visit to learn about the first major battle of the American Civil War. The visitor center and bookstore are open from 8 am to 5 pm and the battlefield is open from sunrise to sunset.

This state park is one of the premiere parks in all of the state. Besides being known for its watersports and activities, it also has camping and nature programs (including the wedding weekend!) Check the website's events link for more information.
