Question

Should I drive to the wedding venue?

Answer

For your convenience, there will be a shuttle from the Omni Hotel to Maymont and back for the ceremony and reception. We want everyone to have a good time and get back safely! The Berkeley hotel is directly across the street from the Omni, so guests staying in either hotel can use the shuttle

Where can I stay?

Answer

We have blocked rooms for you to reserve at the Omni hotel and a small number at the Berkeley hotel in Richmond

Where do I go?

Answer

The shuttle will drop off at the Hampton street lot and you will follow signs from the lot to the blue atlas cedar tree near the mansion. After the ceremony, you will follow signs to the reception space (nature center) where the shuttle will pick up guests and transport back to the hotel following the reception. What should I wear?

Answer

Something you feel like yourself in! Wear comfortable shoes which will not sink into the grass at the ceremony location (e.g. block heels, flats, wedges, etc.). There is some walking required from the ceremony space to reception, so keep that in mind when choosing shoes to wear.

Colors are mint, light blue, and navy. Theme is wildflowers/bright colors

Dinner will be buffet style to help reduce wait times for guests

Yes! Cocktail hour will be at the nature and visitor center at Maymont. Drinks and passed Hor devours will be available as you chat and walk through the exhibits
