We met in psychology class - It was my sophomore year and Marcus' freshman year of college. I had the biggest crush on Marcus and I slowly worked my way into his life - and yes, I hit on him first. It started with an investigation into who this 'Mason' boy was that I thought was so cute. Turned out I couldn't find him on any social media because his name was, in fact, Marcus, NOT Mason! I thought I would follow him on Instagram and Snapchat hoping he would reach out to me because we definitely made eye contact a few too many times in class, so there was no way he didn't think I was cute too. Well, nothing - He never reached out. Looks like it was up to me to try and talk to this boy. Luckily, I was friends with a few of the Stout football fellas (thanks Grant!) that were quite familiar with this Marcus boy. I ran into him at a football gathering and decided it was now or never to tell him I thought he was cute. My good friend, Ava, was with me and I was freaking out because I had to say something. The blunt woman she is came out and said, 'well just do it, what could go wrong' so I went right up to him and told him we had a class together - he knew my name already, so that was a great start. I told him I thought he was cute and that we should chat for a bit... Here we are, a few years later. I get to marry my best friend and my most favorite man alive.
