We met training rats in our Principles of Behavioral Learning Class at BYU-I and went on our first date at the beginning of Winter Semester 2024. We officially started dating in February of 2024 and we've been happy ever since! :)

After moving to Rexburg, the river at the Nature Park Campground quickly became my favorite spot. I brought Marcus there soon after we started dating, and I even met his parents over a video call while sitting on some stumps by the water. Eight months later, in that same spot, Marcus (mostly) surprised me with a beautiful proposal with candles and a cozy picnic table setup. He’d had me "convinced" it wouldn’t happen until January, but the 5 minutes waiting in the car kinda gave him away. Still very cute though! - Lynda She definitely didn't know it was coming. I told her I wanted to wait until January so I could meet her dad beforehand and she absolutely believed me. I asked her parents over a video call, and I started getting the ring in September. I got the candles from my friend Tyson who actually got them from my friend Justin, and I rolled a picnic table from a campsite to the side of the water. Then in October, I proposed and she was so surprised. She looked incredibly beautiful and her reaction was very tender. - Marcus
