Though we technically met many, many years ago, our "first meeting" was on a Sunday morning at church. We have both attended the same church our entire lives but never really thought about the possibility of dating each other. Unbeknownst to Marcus, for years leading up to our first date, Jen's mom had been encouraging her to pursue Marcus. While unbeknownst to Jen, Marcus' sister Kendall had been doing the same and encouraging Marcus to date Jen. Opportunity finally struck in early June of 2018 when Marcus arrived to church alone. Jen and her mom quickly came up with a plan to get Marcus to join them for lunch. Jen asked her dad to ask Marcus to join them for lunch as both Marcus and Jen's dad help run sound for first service at our church. Marcus agreed to join us and the rest is history.
