After putting Marcus off a few times, we finally made plans for our first date. To my surprise, he picked me up with an arm full of flowers, an outfit that perfectly coordinated with the color of my dress, and the sweetest smile that I had ever seen. After the initial nerves wore off, we quickly found ourselves sitting in the car for hours talking like best friends. When he dropped me off at my door, I was grinning from ear to ear as soon as he turned his back. And all the way up the elevator I was screaming and spinning in circles before I called my mom and said, “Mom this is the nicest guy ever, I’m gonna marry him!”. Come to find out he was doing the same thing and smiling just as big the whole drive home. Flash forward to now and we are both full of that same happiness and excitement, still cheesing from ear to ear, and still the best of friends. We cannot wait for a lifetime of love and friendship together as one.
