(Amber’s POV) On April 1, 2018, we met at a family crawfish boil (no we aren't related lol). I (Amber) at the time wasn't looking for anything, and I wasn't expecting anything or anyone to come my way. But when I saw Marcus interacting and playing with my kids, it made my heart smile. Even though the scene was picture perfect, I definitely wasn't making the first move, but Marcus must've read my mind because he approached me, and the rest was history. These past six years haven’t always been unicorns and rainbows, but GOD! We have had many bumps in the road, and it’s like God always lead us back to one another (if you know, you know). One thing about us, we are a praying couple, and we seek God in everything we do, that is why we are saying “I Do”! (Marcus’s POV) Amber’s smile and personality are the things that attracted me to her at the crawfish boil that day. I thought I was going there to have fun with family, but I ended up finding my family. We spoke on the phone for hours at a time before I finally found the courage to ask her out, which went great, we even had a few surprise guests tag along (yep, our kiddos). Our kids went on our first date with us, but it made everything less awkward and made me fall in love, because not only did I get to see Amber the woman, but I was also able to see Amber the mother. We have had our setbacks and disagreements during these six years, but I have always felt connected to Amber, and that’s how I knew that God put her here for me. I love Amber and our kids with every breath in my body, and I can’t wait to say, “I Do”!
