Five years ago, Megan and some of her friends decided to go to a midnight improv show at iO (improv olympics) that a friend was in. Marc was performing in this group. After closing out the bar, Megan, Marc, and crew went over to another bar across the street. While at this bar, Marc approached Megan, and with out much conversation (it was loud at this place) he decided to ask her on a date.
After enjoying a lovely dinner with Megan's parents at Reserve 22 in Glen Ellyn, Marc had planned to take Megan on a romantic walk where he would propose. True to form, Megan promptly announced she was ready for pjs and a night cap at the house. Thinking quickly on his feet, Marc pulled into a church parking lot acting like they had just gotten a flat. Megan just kept saying, we definitely didn't get a flat so let's just get to my parent's house. After circling the car a few times, Marc asked for Megan's phone to use as a flash light. He went into the trunk, and, by this point, Megan was losing her patience. She got out of the car yelling, "We definitely don't have a flat! What are you doing?" It was at this point Marc grabbed her hands and started to get down on one knee. Megan exclaimed, "You better not be messing with me!" The proposal was comical, romantic, and, most importantly, true to them.
