Fear of God Abby Marcum is Hannah's younger sister and built-in best friend. Sammie, Hannah, and Abby's trio is an unbreakable bond. One of Hannah's proudest achievements is being Abby's older sister. Hannah taught Abby to read, to talk to boys, and to pray. As Abby got older, they've swapped roles, Abby now often teaching Hannah more about God's heart and fun Bible facts. Abby has a beautiful heart for leading and serving others, even and especially when it means sacrifice. Abby's zeal for God is contagious and her fear of the Lord encourages all those around her to love more radically.
Lucas Brill
Best Man
Lucas and Caleb met playing pickup basketball and soon realized they were both involved in the same Christian ministry. Towards the end of Caleb’s freshmen year at Ohio State, they started hanging out after Lucas invited Caleb over to play video games and bonding over a love of sports and Jesus, and from then on Lucas has become a critical piece of Caleb’s life. They have navigated through both shallow and deep parts of friendship, both playing sports together bringing out their competitive nature and a love of games, to walking through finding a church together and being able to serve alongside each other on a mission trip to Kenya together. Lucas has pushed Caleb deeper and deeper into his relationship with God and has modeled what being a true brother means.
Samantha Marcum

Trust Sammie Marcum is Hannah's older sister and built-in best friend. Sammie, Hannah, and Abby's trio is an unbreakable bond. Sammie and Hannah were born only 14 months apart, so they feel more like twins than sisters. Growing up, Sammie and Hannah always wore matching outfits, were in the same friend groups, and did the same activities. Sammie brings out Hannah's inner-child in the best way - she is goofy, fun-loving, and always down for a new adventure. Sammie also has a deep trust in God that inspires all around her. She lays down her desires for God's will and is loyal to her people above all else.
Kaleb Meeks

Kaleb and Caleb met their freshman year at Ohio State, coincidentally sharing the same name and also the same room. They have lived together for all four years of college and have spent countless meals, sports games, sharing the same major and late nights hanging out. They bonded over an extreme love of Ohio state sports and any game that they could play each other in: board games, card games, video games… Kaleb has been with Caleb throughout the entirety of Hannah and Caleb’s relationship from talking about a girl Caleb thinks is cute to helping with the proposal and engagement party. Kaleb has brought so much joy through all of their college experience, showing the goodness that comes from showing up and desiring a deep friendship.
Avery Wooten

Faith Avery was Hannah's college roommate, but is a forever sister. Avery and Hannah met their freshman year at college ministry, Cru, and quickly connected over a shared love for clothes, which turned into a shared love for Trader Joe's, and a shared sense of humor. Avery has a reckless faith and hope in God. When Avery feels God call her, she answers fully and completely, knowing that He will provide for her. She has shown this in going on oversees mission trips, beginning a women's ministry, and taking a job in full-time ministry with Cru. Avery's faith inspires all around her to live and obey God more boldly.
Michael Whitcraft

Michael (Mike, Gus and a lot of other nicknames) and Caleb met during Caleb’s sophomore year when one of their mutual friends introduced them when playing basketball together. Mike is a year younger than Caleb and was still looking for a church, and as they were playing basketball, they got to talking about going to church and Mike, on a whim, asked if he could come with Caleb and Lucas and that was the beginning of a very fruitful friendship. They have spent many long nights talking about what it looks like to follow Jesus in college and after graduation. Mike has been there for Caleb as someone to bounce thoughts, feelings, and problems off of. Mike also shares in Caleb’s joys, often quoting that Caleb and Hannah’s wedding will be “the best of his life”. Mike cares hard for the people around him and Caleb is just one beneficiary of that.
Sydney Graney

Worship Sydney and Hannah met their freshmen year of college through a college ministry, Cru, and became fast friends. Sydney is one of the goofiest, most fun people you will ever meet. Sydney is an incredible listener, cares deeply for the people around her, and knows just how to make you laugh. More than everything, Sydney loves to praise and worship God. Their sophomore year of college, Hannah and Sydney went on a missions trip to El Salvador together, where they deeply bonded over their love for the Lord and the nations. Sydney's heart for worship and for others builds you up, helps you be incredibly vulnerable, and makes you the best version of yourself.
Jackson Connor

Jackson and Caleb met their freshman year at Ohio State in a Bible study small group in Drackett tower, where both of them lived. Throughout their years in college, they have faithfully served in their campus ministry, Cru, together leading a Bible study together, and eventually helping to co-lead a mission trip in Chicago, Illinois. Jackson has been Caleb’s brother and keeper, encouraging him in so many different parts of life: school, family, friends, and giving wise counsel in his relationship with Hannah. Jackson also embraces Caleb’s quirks and they are oftentimes doing some sort of goofy shenanigans. Jackson has been a friend that Caleb can always count on and knows that Jackson is always willing to go the extra mile for him.
Lydia Ernst

Service Lydia and Hannah met their freshman year at Ohio State through a college ministry, Cru. Lydia might just be one of the kindest people you will ever meet. Lydia knows exactly how to uplift others - whether it is flowers on my desk after I totaled my car, a hug after a failed exam, or warm banana bread after a hard week. She is a wonderful baker and an even better friend. Every action Lydia takes is to uplift others in their faith and in their souls. She is always looking to serve, to compliment, and to love. Her deep heart for others has made Hannah more outward-focused to honor and serve the people around her.
Jackson Sullivan

Jackson and Caleb met at the same small group Bible study in Drackett Tower their freshman year. They also share the same major and are on the same track to graduate, so they have essentially had every class together for the last four years, making for plenty of time spent together. They have bonded over many things like complex logic games and they both have a love for figuring out how things work or are made. This also extends to their relationship outside of class, with things such as theological topics or spiritual practices that they have found to be helpful in their relationship with God. Jackson also is walking through a similar season, getting married in May, so they have been able to relate and talk through what it looks like to be married.
Ava Snitzer

Humility Ava and Hannah met Hannah's sophomore year of college through living in the same dorm at Ohio State. Over the years, Hannah has had the honor of seeing Ava's life be absolutely transformed by Jesus. Ava began college curious about God, but now is a strong woman of God, passionate about spreading God's love through her work in healthcare. Ava is incredibly humble and gentle, seeking every opportunity to learn more about God and others. Ava has a talent for flipping a compliment around so that you end up feeling uplifted instead, sometimes without even noticing she's doing it. Her humble heart has taught Hannah what it means to truly listen and learn from God and others.
Jacob Shauer

Jacob and Caleb met when both of them were in middle school playing basketball for their high school’s feeder team. They became friends their freshman year of high school by Spanish class and continued to play basketball together all 4 years of high school. After Caleb went to college in Ohio, friendship became a lot less convenient but the two have made it work by picking up new interests like skiing, hiking, and camping whenever Caleb goes home to Colorado. Jacob has always been a grounded presence in Caleb’s life and continually pointed him back to God, because of Jacob’s deep value on the Bible. Jacob has been someone who Caleb gets to experience the joy and wonder of God's creation whenever they get up to their mountain adventures.
