With the uncertainties surrounding the timing of his K1 fiancé visa, we began exploring the option of getting married sooner. Through prayer and wise counsel, we felt it was right to move forward and start our life together earlier than we had anticipated. We are so thankful the Lord opened this door for us. We also truly appreciate your flexibility — we know celebrating on a shorter timeline isn’t always easy, and it means so much to us that you’re making the effort to be there.
As much as we love your precious little ones, we’re not able to accommodate children at the celebration. We hope this allows everyone to relax and fully enjoy the evening with us. Please note that only those listed on the invitation or RSVP are invited.
Everything is very close — the reception is about a 5-minute walk from the ceremony. It’s an easy and beautiful walk through downtown Santa Barbara. After the ceremony, we’ll walk over together and begin the celebration with cocktail hour at Villa & Vine.
Dressy, elevated attire. We invite you to dress up and celebrate with us — suits or jackets for men, and dresses or elevated cocktail attire for women. We recommend bringing a light layer, as evenings in Santa Barbara can cool down.
Fair question! With our shorter timeline and venue availability, Monday ended up being the best fit (and essentially the only day available at the Courthouse). Spring is one of the busiest wedding seasons, so the chances of finding a date where all of our previously booked vendors were available were slim — but thankfully, they were all able to kindly shift from October to this May Monday.
We’ll be providing champagne (and Martinelli’s) during toasts, and there will also be a cash bar available for additional drinks throughout the evening.
