Chrissy and I first met on a THON canning trip back in the fall of 2008. We had traveled to Wilkes-Barre with a few of our friends and were randomly paired as roommates for the duration of the weekend (thanks Katie Perugini). Forty-eight hours later, we had signed up to live together for the next three years which inevitably turned into the rest of our lives. We now own a home in Ashburn, VA and are excited to start the next chapter as a family of three (Love you Mav)!!
Ali told me I had to be the one to propose so I had to think of something she would never expect. We are avid board game players and had been talking about doing an escape room for months. It seemed like the perfect setup... hide the ring in the game! With my sister and brother-in-law coming into town, Ali and I pulled together a group of friends and family to "Save the White House". The objective was simple, find the bomb in the oval office in less than 60 minutes. We set off searching the room for clues and eventually worked our way to the final puzzle with about 12 minutes to go. We had a calendar with three circled dates and a locked drawer that required a 6-digit combination. After purposely entering the code wrong several times Ali came over to "help". She got it on the first try and the drawer popped open. She looked inside expecting a bomb and found a small box instead. Down on one knee I asked the love of my life to marry me (after she asked if I had budgeted time for this). She said yes AND we saved the white house with time to spare!
