Dear family and friends, The last few weeks has brought so many unforeseen events into play in our global and personal lives. In consultation with our families, we have decided to cancel all wedding plans for the foreseeable future. This is done with heavy hearts but we know it is the only course of action in our health crisis. The plan is for our world to recover, allowing us to have a joyful celebration when we are able. Marco and I met online and instantly began writing each other every day. After two months of daily letters back and forth & a growing connection, we decided we had to meet in person. It just so happened that the first night we ever talked on the phone we talked about hockey (& the STL Blues obviously...) and unbeknownst to me, Marco had decided that whatever money he won betting on the Blues victory that night would go to making our meeting a reality. Well, the Blues killed it that night, and the very next day, he began planning an exciting trip to Jamaica for the two of us - having never met before, not even on FaceTime! Three short weeks later & a lot of heart palpitations for both our mothers, in the bitter cold of March, we were on our way to Jamaica and immediately knew this was the real deal. By the end of that week, we were official. By the end of April, we were planning how to make the distance shorter between us. Over the past five years, our love has taken us back and forth between St. Louis & Ocean City, and it has taken us on some fantastic adventures in Colorado. We continue to take a trip every year, because that is when we truly feel the closest - discovering new places and deepening our bond. It only made sense for us to have our wedding somewhere that sparks that feeling of love & closeness, so we are eagerly awaiting the big day in Sicily - right in the heart of Marco's roots & family. We visited in March of last year and could feel the spectacular beauty, history, and culture in every aspect of our time there. We want to share this epic & diverse Italian region with our families and friends, and give everyone an unforgettable experience celebrating not only our love for each other, but also the love we feel for all of you.
