S o m e t i m e i n 2 0 1 5 . . . Aynna and some friends were getting together for dinner. One of their mutual friends brought Marco along. This wasn't the first time they met, but it sure was the first time they had noticed each other. They started talking more regularly, and hanging out here and there. It was the start of a friendship, and the start of a romance.

2 2 . D E C . 2 0 1 5 Aynna has a yearly tradition of watching her favourite holiday movie, "Just Friends". Aynna suggested they watch it together. Once the movie ended and Ryan Reynolds had finished his rendition of "I Swear", Marco brought out the “surprise” he had told Aynna he had for her. It was a collection of handmade cards with their faces photoshopped onto them, with some YES or NO questions leading to the final question, “Will you be my girlfriend?”. Obviously, her answer was yes… and Marco still makes her handmade cards every year.

1 9 . O C T . 2 0 1 9 It was Aynna’s birthday, and the entire family had made plans to celebrate with some dinner, cake and coffee. Marco had a different idea on how this evening would play out. On the way to dinner, Marco and Aynna made a stop to pick up the cake. Marco asked her to check the cake, and sure enough it said “Happy Birthday Aynna!,” just as birthday cakes should. After dinner and some treats, they set up to sing happy birthday. Marco brought out the cake, and it said “Will You Marry Me?”. She said yes. Two cakes, and two very happy people.
