Question

Where is the venue and what is it like?

Answer

Rhize Wedding venue is just outside of Cripple Creek about an hour from Colorado Springs through Woodland Park and Divide. The website is here: https://www.rhizeweddings.com/ The venue is at 10,000 feet above sea level. Because of its location the wedding will start early afternoon and end relatively early (for some) in the evening. Also because of its location and the effects of alcohol we will provide transportation from Colorado Springs to the venue and back. The roads from the venue to Colorado Springs are quite dark and windy.

Question

How do I get to Colorado Springs?

Answer

When flying you have two options: 1) Fly into Denver and rent a car. Colorado Springs is approximately 90 minutes from Denver south on I-25. 2) Fly into Colorado Springs. You can easily connect into Colorado Springs through a number of hubs. It's a small(ish) regional airport, super easy and a short wait to collect your bags and almost never any TSA line when departing, even in summer. You can also rent a car for pick up from the Colorado Springs airport.

Question

When should we arrive and leave?

Answer

There is a pre-ceremony event at Ivywild School in Colorado Springs from 4 PM on the 13th of June and the wedding is the 14th. That said, please come when you can and stay as long as you like! Would love to have you for both events but understand why that might not be possible for everyone.

Question

Do you have any good hotel recommendations?

Answer

Depending on your budget we'd recommend a few hotels both for quality and the area in which they are located. And in one instance for the support it provides to the cycling community in Colorado and Manitou Springs. The Mining Exchange Hotel: Great location, more expensive than some, great history and cute rooms. https://www.miningexchangehotel.com/?CID=LC:46q62bu8edfbx3y:45171&iata=00093796 Hyatt Place Downtown Colorado Springs. This is where Kris and I stayed when we came to check out the area for the first time. Good, central location. Average price point. https://www.hyatt.com/hyatt-place/en-US/denzp-hyatt-place-colorado-springs-downtown?src=corp_lclb_google_seo_denzp&%3Futm_source=google&utm_medium=organic&utm_campaign=lmr Buffalo Lodge Bicycle Resort. A little more "rustic" but a great breakfast and an essential element of the Manitou Springs/Colorado Springs cycling community. Locally owned and operated. https://www.bicycleresort.com/?utm_source=google&utm_medium=wix-smart-campaign&utm_campaign=google-ads-campaign-2023-11-16-925be5f1&gad_source=1&gclid=CjwKCAiA2cu9BhBhEiwAft6IxP3H_x9kD62BxrjkLb4yqts4SV_6AGqlDoLShGUDkwT5IORRhuy1whoC2SkQAvD_BwE If none of these work for you do reach out. There are also plenty of Airbnb options in the Colorado Springs area. I recommend staying around Old Colorado City, Manitou Springs, anywhere between Manitou Springs and Woodland Park or the Old North End in Colorado Springs. We are happy to help with your search if needed just let us know.
