Marci and Zach met in 2018 at a place that couldn't be more romantic...The Castle Pub. Both happened to be present with mutual friend groups, but did not know each other. In classic Castle Pub fashion, a debacle between friends erupted and Marci and Zach found themselves awkwardly observing the altercation. Zach said to Marci, "Hey. You want a beer?" Believe it or not, the rest was history!

Zach knew Marci was the one soon after they met, and it took him less than two years to purchase her absolute dream marquis ring from Precious Metals in Johnstown. Of course, Zach involved Marci's best friend and maid of Honor, Sydney, in the planning. Sydney convinced Marci she had a new camera she wanted to learn how to use and needed photos for an online photography class she was taking, so Sydney and Zach planned a fake photoshoot. Standing on Lake Rowena fishing dock with the sun setting in the background, Zach bent down to "tie his shoe" and popped the question. It may come as a shock, but she said...YES!
