Question

What is the dress code?

Answer

Formal attire is requested. Men should wear suits or sports jackets, slacks and ties and women are encouraged to wear midi, maxi, or cocktail dresses in soft colors or floral prints. Please avoid overly casual attire such as jeans, and kindly refrain from wearing white.

Is the ceremony/reception indoors or outdoors?

Answer

The ceremony will be held outdoors (weather permitting). Cocktail hour and the reception will take place indoors.

Can we take photos during the ceremony?

Answer

We kindly ask that phones and cameras be put away during the ceremony so everyone can be fully present (and so our photographer/videographer can capture the moment). You’re welcome to take photos during the reception!

Is there parking/valet?

Answer

Yes! The Smithville Inn offers valet parking. Rideshare services such as Uber and Lyft are readily available for convenient transportation to and from the venue.

What if I'm running late?

Answer

If you are running late, we kindly ask that you wait until the ceremony concludes to enter the courtyard (weather permitting) or the Absegami Room (in case of rain). The ceremony will last around 30 minutes with cocktail hour following immediately after.

Can I bring a plus one?

Answer

To keep our celebration intimate, we’ve carefully planned our guest list. If you were invited with a guest, they will appear when you RSVP on our website.
