There’s a feeling people call déjà vu — the sense that a moment has already happened, or was somehow meant to happen long before it ever did. Our story feels a lot like that. Life works in mysterious ways, quietly placing people in our path long before we understand why. Years ago, we were only five feet apart — two strangers going about our days, completely unaware that the love of our lives was right there within reach. We didn’t know that the person whose eyes would one day captivate us, whose smile would light up our lives, was already part of our story. At the time, it simply wasn’t the right moment. Life had its own timeline. Half a decade later, through what felt like both fate and the gentlest humor of destiny, we found each other again — this time exactly when we were meant to. What began as a simple message, “Hey, you have a very unique name, unusual for an Afghan,” slowly unfolded into late-night conversations, shared laughter, and a love deeper than we ever imagined. In time, that simple message became the most important question of all: “Will you marry me?” We truly believe we found each other when we were meant to — in the right place, at the right time, in the right moment. With faith in God and hearts full of gratitude, we now invite the people we love most to celebrate this beautiful chapter with us as we begin the rest of our lives together.
