I met Charles through Young Life program, we bonded over spades and debating. He is one of the few people who can out debate me, lol! Scratch that, no one can out debate me but he is one of the few people who can keep up with me. Chuck is one of the smartest people I know. We agree on a lot of things when it comes to life such as friendship, fatherhood, and what it means to be a man. We have built a true brotherhood and I am glad to have met him.

I came to Academy Park High School in tenth grade and had no plans on making new friends. Rezzie saw me in a few classes and at lunch. One day while I was sitting by myself at lunch she came over and introduced herself, and from that day forward we have been best friends. Rezzie keeps me grounded and makes sure God is first in my life. She is always encouraging me to pray on my good and bad days. When I need someone to pray for me when I can't Rezzie is that person. Rezzie is caring, loving and dependable. She cast no judgment even if I am wrong. I am truly honored and blessed to call her my sister. I would not have it any other way than to have her stand by me on my special day.

I met Omarr through a mutual friend and we hung out a few times. One day Omarr called me and said, "hey don't you have your license". I'm like yea! Why? He was going out and needed a second driver. First, I thought is this guy just using me for my license or does he really want to hang out. But I really wanted to go out so I said yes. That night we rode out and have been riding out ever since. O is a true ride or die, brother.

Delaware State University (DSU) created a foundation and that foundation created a friendship that has not changed one bit. We always look out for each other. We had children around the same time. We went after our dreams at the same time, encouraging each other the entire way. Tae' is truly a blessing. She is supportive of my life and has always been an inspiration to me. She is always looking to push the limits and go even higher. I am so proud of her. Who knew that me just wanting to know why her mom named her Nate (I didn't know about the hyphen lol) would turn her into my best friend and sister. Glad we get to share this time together also. You're next don't mess up our tradition. Lol!

Bishop and I met at church when we were just kids. We have known each other for 20 years and have grown together from boys to men. I'm excited about all the growth we are still making, and I can't wait to see where the future takes us. We have been through so much together. Not to mention our groups N.I.C.E., The Family, Royal Family, and AD lol. He is my best friend, my brother and I thank God for sending me a friend whose loyalty and honesty I never have to question.

Bri came into the world and I was so hype, for a minute, until I realized she was staying, LoL. Although we are cousins I saw her as my baby sister. Growing up in the same house was always an adventure. The age gap made it hard to hangout, but now that we are adults we have a blast dancing and singing. Bri is the life of the party, funny, smart, and always in my corner. Having her stand beside me on my wedding day is awesome sauce, and I would not have it any other way.

Dame is my brother. We have laughed and cried together. We have hugged and fought. We behaved and got our treats, and miss behave and got our butts whooped. I never felt like I needed to explain myself around him I could just be me, because to him I'm just Rell (Big Bro). You need people who know you, people who you can talk to and be your authentic, transparent self around. Everyone does not have that, and I'm glad that Dame is that person for me. I love my brother.

Eb is Rell's sister and my soon-to-be sister-in-love. The one thing I have appreciated about Eb from the moment I met her, is how brave she is. I have watched her create events and parties and work hard to make them successful. She puts herself out there in a way most people never would, and I think that is admirable. Our friendship is 20yrs old. I’ve watched him grow from a skinny kid wearing oversized clothes, to a buff guy in tight shirts. LOL, he is going to hate me for that one. Jay is that friend that hits you with that dose of reality and honesty when you need it the most. He is always on go when you need him to be and that voice of reason as well. I use to look at him as just the little friend that should look up to us, but now I’m not ashamed to say I look up to him. Twenty years is a long time to maintain a friendship. When I first met De’Von he was just the little brother of a good friend of mine. But, I am glad to say over the years we have developed our own friendship. Anyone that knows De’Von knows that he did not make that an easy task. Developing this friendship has definitely tested my patience and loyalty. I am glad to say that I have pass those test.
