We're tying the Knot

We met in college in September 2009. I was in a relationship at the time, so we kept things friendly, but Rodney and I instantly clicked. We became good friends over the upcomming months and even joined the same club while we were attending school. But in the fall semester 2010, my world shifted. Between a tough breakup, the stress of being a newly single mom and the heartbreaking news that my mom was very ill, I needed to step back. By February, she had passed away, and I felt lost. After a lot of reflection, I decided to go back to school and continue my journey. My start date was August 23, 2011 -my mom's birthday-Which felt like a sign that I was right where I needed to be. On my first day back, there he was-Rodney. I'd assumed he graduated, but he returned to pursue a degree in IT. Seeing him again felt like fate had its own plan. As we reconnected, our friendship deepened. we decided to go out on a few dates and one our first real dinners was at the Crocodile Rock. Those early memories still bring a smile. But life had its twist and eventually; we went our seperate ways. Almost a year later, though, we found our way back to eachother and this time, something felt different. We both realized we'd found something worth holding on to, and we've been inseperable ever since. Now as we look forward to forever, we're so grateful for everything that led us here. We can't wait to start this new chapter as partners and best friends, ready to take on whatever comes next-together.
