How We Met

Summer loving happened so fast...

Like something out of a cheesy teen movie, we met one hot California summer working as lifeguards at Legoland Waterpark. There was a lot of flirting, casual glances and eventually, Hope realized Marc was not picking up her hints and made the first move towards something more. What started as an innocent summer fling turned into the romance of a lifetime. After making it through long distance, years of laughter and hardship, moving in together, and two adorable fur babies; and now Marc & Hope are tying the knot!

The Proposal

It was a lifetime movie picture perfect plan (including when he dropped the ring! ) ...

Ever the romantic, MarcAnthony planned the ultimate proposal moment and then every single day almost blew it and popped the question while Hope was making dinner in a face mask instead only to be reigned in by their family and friends. It was a family affair from the beginning, starting with Marc's dad turning on the proverbial light bulb over the head when he asked, "So when are you going to marry Hope?" To the ring design set with the family heirloom diamond, given by Hope's Grandmother when Marc asked for their blessing. Down to the elaborate master plan to somehow get Marc to New York in secret while Hope was there for work. But in true Hope form, she took it unknowingly into her own hands and planned a vacation for just the two of them over the Thanksgiving Holiday. Marc had the proposal day all planned out down to the very specific timing of when and where they would meet. After a long red-eye flight and a quick nap, Marc made Hope walk the 150 blocks from the lower East Side all the way to Central Park (without feeding Hope) for the perfect proposal setting. Marc made a last minute change of location (due to a hangry Hope) from the famous bridge to one of the park's picturesque meadows. While waiting for the photographer Marc frantically tried to distract Hope by climbing up every rock and stopping at every horse drawn carriage, the moment finally came. The setting was perfect, the meadow was (surprisingly) empty, and the photographer was incognito when Marc dropped to one knee with a beautiful speech... and dropped the ring. Despite the very classic Marc moment, the "yes" was obvious and the cheering nearby teenage girls were the icing on the cake to a perfect moment. Please join us in the celebration of six years of love joy coming together to tie the knot and start MarcAnthony and Hope's next adventure!
