Michael and I met at Saint Peter's University in 2012. The very first day I met Michael, we were in a group of other new students walking through Jersey City, becoming acquainted with our new surroundings. While I was trying to get to know Michael and ask him all about where he went to high school and his family, he was not very receptive and remained quiet and shy. Despite his quietness, Michael and I quickly became friends. Michael and I spent time building our friendship, and unknowingly building the foundation to our love story. Michael was someone I could laugh with, cry to, and confided my secrets with, he brought an unexpected peace to me. Michael and I remained very close friends throughout our freshmen year of college. After an unexpected change in my original housing plans for my sophomore year, I was displaced and randomly paired for housing. It just so happened that Michael was assigned to the apartment directly above mine. We began to spend more time together and on October 29, 2013, Michael officially asked me to be his girlfriend.

While vacationing in Santa Monica, Michael had told me that he arranged for a special dinner. Before arriving to the location for our fancy dinner, Michael had arranged to stop at this area overlooking the sea. While looking out at the view, I turned around to find Michael down on one knee! I was in complete shock of how he had made this possible. Michael was nervously holding the ring as he shared sweet words with me. I eagerly said yes! To my surprise Michael had a photographer hiding in the bushes capturing the special moment.

Although COVID has canceled many things, LOVE most certainly was not canceled. We look forward to celebrating our special day with all our friends and family.
